1.  Be Serving the Lord

2.  Be Sensitive to the Need of the People

3.  Be Steadfast to the Task

Numbers 20:12¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Hebrews 11:23By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
 11:24By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
 11:25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
11:26Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
11:27By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Numbers 20:14¶ And Moses sent messengers from Ka-desh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:
20:15How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:
20:16And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Ka-desh, a city in the uttermost of thy border:
20:17Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.
20:18And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.
20:19And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing any thing else, go through on my feet.
20:20And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
20:21Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
20:22¶ And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Ka-desh, and came unto mount Hor.
20:23And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,
20:24Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Mer-i-bah.
20:25Take Aaron and El-e-a-zar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
20:26And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon El-e-a-zar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.
20:27And Moses did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
20:28And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon El-e-a-zar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and El-e-a-zar came down from the mount.
20:29And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
Numbers 21:5And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
21:6And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
21:7¶ Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
21:8And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
21:9And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
Numbers 27:12¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Ab-a-rim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
27:13And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
27:14For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Mer-i-bah in Ka-desh in the wilderness of Zin.
Deuteronomy 34:4And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
34:5¶ So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
34:6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-pe-or: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
34:7¶ And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
Matthew 17:1AND after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
17:2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
17:3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
17:4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
