Pastor Jones has been the Assistant Pastor of Metropolitan for twelve years. Since 1996 he has served in many capacities in our assembly and on our staff. His present duties include

the organizing of our Basic Bible Truth Studies; Leading and developing our Discipleship Ministries; Short-term missions coordinator; Young Adults Class Teacher; Cuba Commitment Director and liaison to the government; Staff coordinator; Deacon; and many other duties that he shares in responsibility with others. Pastor Jones has also earned and received both his Diploma in Biblical Studies from Independent Baptist College and his Bachelor of Ministry Degree from Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary, and presently working towards his Masters in Missions Degree.  Metropolitan has had the privilege of Licensing Pastor Jones to the Gospel ministry in June of 2001 and Ordaining him  in April of 2008.  His present burden is to stay focused on the varying ministries of Metropolitan Baptist Church, but he has always been willing to go wherever God may lead.
