Crisis Management for Missions Seminar

Metropolitan Baptist Church would like to extend a cordial invitation to Independent Baptist Missionaries and Pastors to a very important seminar, Crisis Management for Missions, September 8-10, 2008. As we send missionaries throughout the globe, they face many challenges both physical and spiritual. These challenges put a strain on the missionary and the church that sponsors them. It is not unusual for a major crisis to devastate the missionary and his sending church. In the past few years, we have been organizing information from many sources, so that we can be ready when a crisis occurs. Hopefully, this preparation can diminish the harmful effects of the crisis and also provide a testimony to others of how our Lord strengthens through adversity.

The seminar is mainly directed toward local churches who send out missionaries. We will present material that will help those who administer to the needs of missionaries. Also, we will give missionaries ideas on how to prepare on the field for emergencies. We are preparing a workbook ($7.50) that will include the following:

·   Policies for Crisis Management

·   Government Involvement

·   Kidnapping and Hostage taking
