CUBA COMMITMENT

Updates:

Our scheduled trip this month to the island has been altered.  Thank you for your prayers, God has granted us clear direction into HIS will concerning this trip.  We had originally scheduled the boat “Emmanuel” to travel from Louisiana where it is docked unto its intermediate destination of Mexico .  There it would spend a few months running tests until and NGO we are cooperating with could obtain the right licenses to travel to Cuba with the boat.  This week Emmanuel sprung a leak!  The Diesel fuel tank had a leak and of course that makes it unsafe to travel with.  This may come as a disappointment to some; we see it rather as an open eye to something God is protecting us from.  I’m personally glad to see any defect now, rather than later.  God’s hand is apparent and strong now and we are so thankful, it must be do to your prayers.  This weekend one of our Missionaries will be traveling to Mexico and then on to Cuba with two Mexican Pastors.  All three of these Brothers need your intercession.  I cannot disclose most of the trip details through this means of media, but please be in prayer for this travel across the island.  Emmanuel will be ready in the future and it is still our prayer to use this other means of travel.  Please understand that this form of travel is not the most cost effective, but probably the most strategic.  We will only know after we test it and find the risk involved.  Please intercede on behalf of this project.

Information:

I made mention last week of several articles I have picked up and some interesting books on the subject of “What would happen if Fidel passed away?”  If you have been with our Burden very long you would know that this topic is the most concerning.  We began our burden praying for specific timing of Fidel’s passing.  Since our investigations began we have came to several interesting conclusions; one of which involves serious bloodshed and blockades to American influence immediately.  In light of these findings we have constructed and reconstructed plans to fit God’s strategy for the “ Gospel Island assault”…if you would.  We planned several means of releasing the Gospel, printing the Gospel, preparing the Gospel, trans-shipping the Gospel, and of course preaching it.  So, we are left now with some serious decisions to be made.  Our greatest battle to be had is the battle for Men!  We believe that the Missionary should as quickly as possible train a man.  Not start a Church then train a man to take over, but train a man.  We (several missionaries) have found, trained, and are training new men.  This is what we need more prayer for than anything else in our entire commitment.  If we (the American) were removed, which could happen easily, this would allow the Cuban men now trained aright to move forward without our aid or supply.

In light of the immediate demise of Castro physically, and the unknown rise of power there, we feel it is necessary for us to prepare even more so for the opening of the island or the casting out of American Missionary influence.  I would like to include you in some of these decisions so that you will have knowledgeable, thought-out intercession along with us.  Therefore I will be sending some more frequent and smaller emails in the near future to bring you up to speed with the thoughts and motives of our soon coming decisions.  I have a link below here for you to see what the city of Miami is doing to prepare for this “Fall of Castro”.  They are actually preparing for a celebration.  This is very interesting and just the beginning, please feel free to reply and discuss with me as much as you like.  I will be sending more information and articles soon.

Prayer Request:

Pray for Emmanuel, that God would grant timing in HIS vision for us.  Intercede on behalf of our three Brothers traveling to the island this week; one American Missionary, two Mexican Pastors.  Pray for our wisdom and how we will respond to the rapid developing illness and soon fall of Castro’s regime.
