CUBA COMMITMENT

Prayer has always been the drive and primary function of this commitment.  We want to stop and thank all of you for your prayer support and willingness to face an almighty God on behalf of the Cuban people.  Our communication to each other is vital, so is our communication to our LORD.  In a survey by the American Sociological Review, working women said they talk with their husbands an average of 12 minutes each day.  Most men would declare that they love their wives, I wonder if we in our love for our LORD also discuss our specific intercession for only 12 minutes a day?  To commit to something is to become one of the players on the field.  You must get involved to have an impact.  No one is impressed with the won-lost record of the referee.  Our commitment requires us to be committed to the goal God has set for us and not to set on the sidelines waiting for someone to act.  Please, if you need our help then ask.  We want to help you in your prayer for the Cubans.  Here is a list of facts, needs and prayer requests for you.  Remember “information fuels intercession.”

INFORMATION:

More materials in Spanish to be stored in our container – others are working on materials to be taken now.

If you know of materials – please let me know.

Information to be handed out to other Churches so that they can pray – if you have friends let them know what is going on.

Contact with Cuban national Pastors and Missionaries here in the US – Brother Bruce Martin and I plan a trip to Miami in October to meet with a contact there.

Pray for Brother Bruce and I as we plan this.

There is an opportunity for a camp meeting in Cuba now – please pray for that preparation.

The US government has now made plans and laws to fine ALL travelers to Cuba without US permit at an amount of $55,000.00 – We have a license from the government.  If you need one please let me know and I will help you get one.

It is not guaranteed anymore that the license will help you with this fine – so please pray for us as we travel more this year and next year.

If you want to travel and see this burden for yourself, please contact me at cuba@metrobc.org.  This is our new e-mail – it is no longer cubcom@hotmail.com.  You may also e-mail me personally at travis@metrobc.org.
