CUBA COMMITMENT

METROPOLITAN PRAYER REQUEST

This week 21 people from our Church will be driving from our Church in Fort Worth to Toronto, Canada, to visit one of our supported missionaries.  Please pray for our travels and our hearts as we yield them to our Father.

CUBA PRAYER REQUESTS

We have found many contacts, as we reported, from Miami.  This week I attempted to speak once again to a key man in the “Cuban interests” section in Washington D.C.   This would commonly be referred to a consulate.  The man I need to speak with is very hard to reach, others there have answers, but as they say… “He’s the authority”.  Please pray that God will make a way and help us to reach contact.

Pray for wisdom as we search down leads and seek the Lord’s will.  The Bible admonishes in Matthew 10:16 – “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”  We are in the heat of the battle and facing a very dark enemy.  We must realize that our enemy is not across a 90 mile gap between land masses, rather we are in the midst of him.  Our enemy is a ‘wolf’…not ‘Lassie’.  Many men seem to think we can make friends with the communist party and march in on their ground without fail – this is treacherous.  We know and communicate with many men that have been affected by this party.  They will eventually turn on you to destroy your efforts.  What we must consider is that in light of our recent information gathering, it is possible to ship into the country.  The problems we will face is letting go and letting nationals contacts we have established take our materials and move them in for us.  For this we need prayer!  We must be Wise to know who to tell and what to tell them, harmless as not to wound relationships that God can use in the future.  Will you pray?

Blessings and assurance to the Lord’s will come in strange packages.  I heard one of our men in our Church pray this week about Cuba and he said… “Lord, we know that you are in this and we are very confident that God will use us, use us now.”  Praise the LORD we are not doing this alone.
