CUBA COMMITMENT

My heart is busting at the seams for what our LORD is doing for Cuba.  There are so many that write in and explain how they are being blessed for praying.  Intercession has become one of the most talked about and practiced items in my life.  I believe that we have an obligation to the World.  Our obligation is to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew.  There are some specific things though I would like to show you in Intercession as examples.  The reason I am giving this is for you to be able to equip others to pray with you, thereby multiplying our prayers for Cuba.

1 – God is always in control no matter what.  In Matthew 15:21-28, it seems as if Jesus is rude to this woman – but HE just wanted to see her devotion to her daughter that she would even be called a dog and accept it so that she would get an answer from the LORD.  She is very persistent.  I wonder how persistent we are for an answer.  If it is a burden then we will be able to go through the trial to get an answer.  Notice in verse 22 she says, “have mercy on me” yet she is praying (asking) for her daughter – intercession at work!  You can see here that the LORD wants you to make it personal when you pray for others and as we know the LORD knows what HE is doing – beg HIM to tell you about it!

2 – Specific prayers get specific answers from a specific God.  Matthew 8:5-13, we see this man believes Christ can heal his servant.  Seeking God on behalf of his servant notice in verse 13 Jesus said, “so be it done unto thee” interesting the LORD didn’t say be it done for his servant?  The Lord wants to bless even those that pray for others.  Just ask HIM specifically like this man did. This takes us back to “Information fuels intercession.”  If you want people to pray they need to be informed or you will get the normal – “Lord bless ‘em  And our LORD wants to do more than that.  In all of these the people had a specific burden and a specific answer given unto them.  Something else we see in this passage is the man’s understanding of authority.  The second we let go and let God, we will get an answer.  I am convinced of the fact that when God puts a burden on your heart and you seek HIS face believing, HE can do it with or without you.  This man knew that the LORD could just say the Word and it would happen.  Don’t try to help, let God do it!

3 – Worship is the key to an answered prayer!  You will notice in these cases and in others – Matt. 8:2; 9:18; 18:19; 18:26, they all worshipped HIM and got an answer.  I believe we do not give God enough time nowadays to let HIM touch us like HE wants.  Take time and worship!

Can you make a COMMITMENT?  It does not have to be for Cuba.  Look and see if you can fill in the blank and COMMIT to this ministry of Intercession.

I WILL PRAY AND I WILL EQUIP AND INVOLVE OTHERS IN SPECIFIC PRAYER FOR ________________.

Thank you for your service to the Cubans.
