Updates

As many of you have heard President Obama released information declaring changes to the embargo our country has against Cuba.  The Treasury Department's specific rulings are the same as the ones you can read on the articles located under Subject Links in the left column of this letter.   Please take some time to look at these, it will open your eyes to the details of these changes.  There is no immediate effect on our commitment but this can open opportunities for future possibilities.  The changes are directed toward Cuban-Americans and their families still within Cuba.  The scope of change relates to telecommunications, remittances (monies and gifts allowed to go from the US to Cuba), and licenses for US companies dealing with these products or services.

There is a Panamanian brother of ours planning a trip to the Island.  Brother "A".  He felt the Lord's leading in his life concerning Cuba two years ago and has made three trips so far.  He feels the Lords call upon him to progress in this direction and is busy with the present ministries there in Panama, including the Panama School Project.  This trip is unique in the fact it is funded by you, the Intercessor.  Please be in prayer for this brother as he continues to plan and make his departure.  I truly wish I could release details to you but this is just not the safest medium we could use.  I will be sending you an update of as many details I can later.  Please also continue to pray for the May trip mentioned in our last email which includes two brethren from Venezuela and one American Missionary.

Please continue to pray also for funds we need to continue in two very important areas of our present ministry in Cuba:

#1 - Print more ABC's of Christian Growth in Cuba.  We want to print at least 5000 copies for now and print more as needed.  The cost will be approximately $1.50 a book.

#2 - Send men from Latin American Countries to Cuba for Discipleship training and encouragement.  This will cost $1500.00 a person a week for all expenses.

Intercession

To recap this update we ask that you pray for these needs specifically and look over the letter for more details asking God to provide you with illuminated insight and discernment as you carefully intercede.

·         Praise the Lord of Harvest for sending yet another Labor into His harvest field.

·         Pray for funds to come in soon for these Discipleship trips.

·         Pray for funds to come in soon to print more materials in Cuba (ABC's).

·         Pray for us as we continue to find new ways to enter Cuba.

·         Pray for the wisdom needed to discern what these Embargo changes may mean to us specifically.

·         Pray for special insight with wisdom as to these travel plans we are making for the rest of the year.

 In HIS Service,

Travis A. Jones
