I found an article on the subject of Commitment a short time back: The irony of commitment is that its deeply liberating - in work, in play, in ministry. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your ministry. To commit is weld shut the escape hatch. After reading this I wondered are we really committed? It is so true, that if you commit to something you don’t have to look back, you're only going forward. Doubt is not an option when your committed. To renew our commitment to Cuba may be just what the Great Physician ordered. I write this update with this emphasis for a reason… as mentioned in our last update, cooperation is a beautiful thing! All of our updates are to bring things to your attention for prayer and action. This is just another way for you to cooperate with us. Without proper information we would not be able to be on the same page. Much money has been invested into the lives of the Cuban people. We have printed, made trips, shipped containers, conducted meetings in several countries, and spent thousands of man hours from Preachers to volunteers. It has all been worth it! Now we must recommit and not look back- Luke 9:62 "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." If we are to recommit, what are we to commit to? Here are two present burdens we will be talking about much more in the near future: #1 - We need to print more ABC's of Christian Growth in Cuba. The details of this plan will be coming out soon via mail and email. #2 - We desperately need to send men from Latin American Countries to Cuba for more Discipleship training and encouragement. This will cost money and will need your dedicated intercession to carry out. Will you recommit with us? IntercessionTo recap this update we ask that you pray for these needs specifically and look over the letter for more details asking God to provide you with illuminated insight and discernment. · Pray for funds to come in soon for these Discipleship trips. · Pray for wisdom of the Cuban men. · Pray for funds to come in soon to print more materials in Cuba (ABC's). · Pray for special insight with wisdom as to these travel plans we are making for the rest of the year.
