Updates

Both Missionaries we asked you to pray for in Cuba have now made it out of the country.  Thank you so very much for praying.  God has blessed us again and please take time to thank HIM.

We are excited yet in need of prayer for the planning meeting this week.  It is a meeting for multiple Missionaries and Pastors interested in Cuba and the ministry possibilities there.  It is a time to come together and network their information.  Not only is this helpful in future planning but also keeps us more spiritually focused instead of logistically focused.  We need to be aware of the logistics of ministry and recognize the possibilities but too many times our endeavors seem overwhelming if not impossible when we are contemplating them alone.  This I believe, is the greatest asset to our meetings, a time to consider how God will work through multiple men and their Churches.  Making time to do this allows us to maintain focus that God is still the Lord of the Harvest and He is able to do the impossible and would like to use multiple men and women to accomplish HIS will.

Arrested!  A protest march ended with a meeting in which Catholic and other nameless "dissidents" were arrested for conspiracy against the Cuban government.  There is much to this story that I will not take time to read or record to you, if you wish more information please look to the column at left for "Arrests in Cuba".  My point in sending it is to inform you that all is not quiet in Cuba and your prayers are constantly needed for the men there.

Although the men to whom we work with are private and peaceful, they too may seem like "dissidents" to their government.  Pray for peaceful ministries for the Baptist in Cuba.  Hopefully this information may fuel your intercession this week and help us all become more aware of the dangers and newly formed events on the island.

Intercession

As we have asked before, please pray for our meetings this week.  We will be meeting from 9am until 4:30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Please pray for wisdom, clarity, openness in speech and ideas from all of the attendees, and that Pride will be eradicated so that we will be focused on God's will and not our own.

It is my firm belief that our Commitment would have ended long ago without your faithful prayers.  For this I cannot forget to thank you... the Intercessor.
