Updates

One missionary will be flying out to Cuba this week.  It is not wise at this time to reveal his name, but please pray as specifically as you can.  If you would like more information in detail, please call my cell phone at 817-781-3738.  Pray for wisdom as he tracks down leads, trains men and seek the Lord’s will in further printing on the island.  The Bible admonishes in Matthew 10:16 – “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”  We are in the heat of the battle and facing a very dark enemy.  We must realize that our enemy is not across a 90 mile gap between land masses, rather we are in the midst of him.  Our enemy is a ‘wolf’'.  I have been told even recently from a missionary that we can make friends with the communist party and march in on their word – this is treacherous.  We know and communicate with many men that have been affected by this party.  They will eventually turn on you to destroy your efforts.  What we must consider first is the need of men in Cuba, secondly the personal safety of those we send, or help go.  For this we need prayer!  We must be Wise to know who to tell and what to tell them, harmless as not to wound relationships that God can use in the future.  Will you pray for this missionary as he makes his travels?  Below in the Intercession section we have some specific points to pray over.  An interesting documentary was shown on C-SPAN on Monday night.  It of course is swung left politically, but worth your thoughts and attention I believe.  If nothing else you can hear from the Cuban first hand, but again propaganda.  There is a helpful link in the left column under 'subject links' called C-SPAN documentary..

Information

We are having a planning and intercession meeting December 11-12.  It is imperative for you to pray for our meeting.  If you are able to attend we would love that as well.  These meetings are designed to help us all reconnect and plan anew for the ever changing country of Cuba.  We also share information that cannot be otherwise given but face to face.  Please pray!

We will have nearly all the missionaries that are presently helping each other in attendance.  So we are praying already for the effect this meeting may have on all of our ministries.  If you would like to attend then send me an email or call my cell and we will reserve you a seat.  This meeting will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.

Intercession

cid:image007.jpg@01C82A96.3D3FEE00

As was previously stated, one missionary will be flying out to the island this week.  Since we have specific goals in mind, we are asking for you to intercede specifically for these items…

·         Contact the printing ministries in Cuba and verify the stages to printing and distribution.

·         Contact men in two provinces and encourage their works

·         Hold training meetings in two works.

·         Investigate a lead on a Cuban working with the newly printed ABC's of Christian Growth.

He will be gone for 10 days.  Will you commit to prayer for him during this time?  We also ask that you pray for our soon approaching meeting, we need the Lord's direction and a humble spirit walking into this.  Please pray to that end.

Thank you intercessor for your prayers.  It is without fail that missionaries come back from Cuba after you have prayed and mentioned the peace that they had, knowing people were interceding for them.  Please continue to "hold the ropes" as one more Gospel Ambassador goes to this needy people.
